Sisie takes its name from the Akan word for waist, a part of the female form long celebrated for its femininity, movement and expression.
The word waist carries a beautiful significance. It represents the rhythm of dance, the freedom of movement and the confidence of a woman who is comfortable in her own skin. It is expressive, unapologetic and uniquely feminine.
This is the sentiment at the heart of Sisie.
Born from a love of fashion, feminity and the experiences that bring women together, Sisie was inspired by a familiar feeling: the excitement of getting dressed for a moment worth remembering.
The idea first took shape through recurring trips to Ghana during Detty December. Between beach clubs, long lunches, sunset dinners and nights that turned into morning, there was always a reason to get dressed up. Yet finding pieces that felt equally considered, feminine and exciting wasn’t always easy.
We wanted more than just another dress. We wanted clothing that captured the feeling of the occasion, reflected our individuality and made getting dressed part of the experience itself.
